QUILTING WHILE PETSITTING
My friend and fellow quilter, H, is traveling Italy with her sister so my adult daughter is house/petsitting for her with me pinch hitting while she works. Conveniently, this is the house where I do most of my sewing. Consequently, it certainly is no hardship for me to come and hang out with one of my favorite furry little guys while I work on piecing quilt tops. I spent the night last night and finished a book I was reading and now today after going out to lunch with my hubby I am finishing piecing some quilts. It’s the little things in life!

MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Kindness (noun):
The quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.
Do you view yourself as a kind person? Do you go out of your way to make others feel good? Do you spread kindness through every day, ordinary acts?
My goal each and every day is to touch the heart of one person even if it is just a tiny thing. If even one person leaves an encounter with me feeling happier, more confident, or more important my goal has been reached.
Most days I don’t feel like I make an impact on the world. Yesterday was one of those days. Nothing seemed to be going right, I didn’t feel all that great, and I was tired. I met with a group of people to discuss a book we read, and I was told by three people how much my kindness made a difference in their lives.
John F Kennedy said, “one person can make a difference, and everyone should try. “I truly believe this, and I try to live my life in accordance with this belief.
Go out and make a difference.
